Spoke with Dr. Jonas about a half hour ago. He had nothing but good news. Elise's mitral valve looks good and there is a good chance for mild leakage going forward. It's a little too early to tell, but he thought based on what he saw that there would very likely be no more than moderate leakage. This may prevent further surgeries down the road. Also, Elise's electrical system was functioning well and she will not require a pacemaker. This is all great news!
She will be taken to the ICU shortly and at that point we'll be able to visit her. But first, we'll see Margot off to her surgery and wait for news from her from Elise's bedside. So, half way there and things are looking good so far.
